Curriculum Enrichment
What is enrichment?
Enrichment means doing something beyond the classroom or in addition to the main lesson that will enrich the learning, often allowing students to explore their interests. An enriched curriculum will enable you to teach the material in a way that your learners can relate to and feel inspired by.
Here at Tonge Moor Primary Academy, our curriculum extends beyond the National Curriculum and includes a wide range of enriching experiences and opportunities both within and beyond the school day. This includes a programme of extra-curricular activities, that support the core curriculum offer, as well as those which develop specialist skills, such as sport, music and craft, whilst also extending the range of children’s experiences (Cultural Capital). A primary focus of our curriculum is to raise aspirations, motivate and inspire children to learn, foster a sense of personal pride in achievement, and provide a purpose and relevance for learning. We really believe in bringing learning to life!
